This Note argues that the doctrine of coterminous interpretation is inapplicable in determining the scope of an express no-strike clause, and that the clear and unmistakable waiver standard articulated by the Supreme Court in Metropolitan Edison Co. v. NLRB should be strictly construed in determining whether a broadly worded no-strike clause waives an employee’s right to respect the picket lines of sister unions.
