Paula A. Franzese, Review of R. Duncan and W. Lyons, The Law and Practice of Secured Transactions: Working with Article 9, 1988 Colum. Bus. L. Rev. 537

In their preface, the authors note that their book “does not represent an exhaustive examination of Article 9.” Rather, they explain, their work is intended to offer a “discussion [of] those fundamental aspects of Article 9 necessary for a sound [and] basic understanding of the law of secured transactions in personal property.” Their creation is a combination treatise and “how-to”‘ guide; a refreshingly lucid, comprehensive, and accessible text which satisfies, if it does not surpass, this expectation.
